Syracuse, N.Y. — The Saturday CNY Regional Farmer’s Market provides an opportunity to purchase local and fresh produce. Considered an essential service, the market was modified to a more open air venue on a frigid spring morning.
The A Shed was closed and vendors were moved outside. The walls on other sheds were raised, much as they would be in the summer. Both vendors and shoppers appeared to be following guidelines for social distancing.
One vendor expressed surprise that the market was open, but according to current guidelines farmer’s markets, like grocery stores, remain open.
