The major U.S. indexes recovered some of their losses from Monday and Tuesday as this week came to a close. But U.S. stocks still logged weekly losses, despite Friday's higher close, as investors digested a week full of coronavirus-related headlines.
While stocks traded higher Friday, a key test for the market still remains. Thursday's market action didn't quite qualify as a stalling day. But it's important to note that it felt like a stalling day.
IBD's Mike Webster says investors need to blend the art and science of trading when reviewing market action. He suggests investors remain cautious as the market attempts to clear past the remaining uncertainty.
