U.S. stocks traded mostly lower on Thursday as weakness in the energy sector and the market's largest tech companies hampered all three major indexes. The Nasdaq Composite, the relative laggard, fell 0.9% as a 3% slide in Microsoft led Amazon, Apple and Alphabet lower.
